Disable Daytime Running Lights
Many cars these days have DRLs, or daytime running lights, which mean that whenever your car is out of park and running your lights are on. Obviously in peak daytime conditions you don’t need these and the electricity consumed is a slight drain on your gasoline.
Fortunately, there is an extremely easy workaround for this. When your emergency brake is engaged these lights will shut off, as you may have noticed. Simply ground out the cable for your emergency brake (the indicator wire) and viola, DRLs always off. You can always turn on your regular headlights when you need light.
