Pickup Truck Aerodynamic Mod
As most people know pickup trucks are highly lacking in aerodynamics. With some simple mods to the bed you can get far better gas mileage.
The easiest thing to do is simply leave your tailgate down, this prevents it from catching the air and creating drag, but you can take it a step further and get even better fuel economy and more MPG.
Ever seen those Tonneau covers? The design was to able to keep your bed free from the elements, but it also creates a very aerodynamic ride. You can purchase one but you can also easily construct one yourself if you are a do-it-yourselfer. Give it a closer look, it can easily add a couple MPG by reducing drag.
